Welcome to Celadon: We really enjoy living in the Celadon community in Beaufort, SC

Welcome to Celadon, let me take you on a tour of our beautiful community.   My wife and I have lived in the Celadon community in Beaufort, SC for more than  a year, and have quickly come to understand just how fortunate we are as residents.

Here are my top ten reasons why I love Celadon:

Large 50-100+ Year Old Oak Trees

Large live oak trees, all with moss found in the lowcountry of SC establish a natural and serene landscape for this area of Lady’s Island, South Carolina.    The original developer went to great lengths to keep these beautiful trees intact, and still does to this day.   Tree services are used annually to trim any dead or damaged limbs.   This preserves the look and feel of the landscape.   Additionally, the developer continues to plant new oak trees.

The Drive Through

There are two entrances, a main entrance from Sam Point road, and another one from Old Shell Point road that is used as a construction entrance.   Both take you quickly into a beautiful “tree tunnel” of the large oak trees.  Whether you are coming or going, you never miss out on this special feature.

Convenience of the Celadon Community in Beaufort SC

From the entrance on Sams Point Road you immediately enter into an area with several businesses.   Everything from two hair salons, a dentist, to a capital asset management company.   I must say it is pretty nice to be able to walk to get a haircut.  Celadon also provides easy access to historic downtown Beaufort and many nearby amenities. From restaurants and shopping to parks and recreational facilities, I can find everything I need are just 5-15 minutes away.   My wife and I have air travel choices with major airlines serving nearby Savannah, GA, and Charleston, SC, as well as the Beaufort County Airport, Celadon offers the convenience of Southern living.

Preserved Natural Areas

A massive park is well kept in the middle of the development.   Again, full of large oak trees with moss, it is a common area frequented by residents.    Nearby there is a retention pond.   While that sounds typical, this one is landscaped with benches to simply rest from a walk or to just relax and watch the shimmering on the water.   By the way, don’t be frightened by the “coyotes”.   Seriously, there are three fake ones to keep the geese (and their waste) out of the area.   There are two more beautiful ponds in other parts of the community, each with benches.  These locations are part of what makes the Celadon community in Beaufort SC unique.

Hope You Like to Walk (and With Your Dogs)

Sidewalks exist throughout the Celadon community in Beaufort SC.   Landscaping is outstanding and is changed based on the seasons.    Combined with all the large trees, a daily walk is beautiful, and provides stress relief.     Each day in the morning and early evenings you run into what looks like a parade of dog owners taking their beloved pets for a walk.   There is also a large dog park to enjoy with your pets off leash.

Landscaping and Weekly Clean Up by City

The Celedon community in Beaufort SC has to be the cleanest community I have lived.   Of course, there is weekly trash pick up, as well as recycling.   However, we also enjoy a weekly street sweeper that picks us any leaves in the streets.   This service follows the weekly lawn service whose staff work tirelessly to cut, trim, and mow.   In addition they plant seasonal flowers in about half dozen locations throughout the community.

Design of the Community

Turns out there is actually a special name for the design: Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND).   The car garages are almost always in the rear of the house with a porch on the front (most homes have a second porch that is screened).   The front of each home is a few feet from a sidewalk.   So when I am taking a walk I go right by my friends and neighbors sitting on their front porch.   This allows for conversations, and the establishment of friendships.

Diversity of Home Designs

In my opinion, Celadon offers a diverse mix of real estate options designed to suit every lifestyle. From single-family homes reflecting the charm of Lowcountry architecture to modern condominiums, Celadon provides a location for those seeking a laid-back Southern pace of life.    Homes are not “cookie cutter” and there are several different elevations, and plan designs.    While there are still lots available, the community is nearly full, so there is not a lot of new home construction.   Actually, there are two near my location and I have never feel bothered by any noise.

Experience Wellness at Celadon Club & Spa

The Celadon community in Beaufort SC has a state-of-the-art club & spa designed with resident’s wellness in mind.   I was very pleased to find it offers a comprehensive range of services.   Whether I’m looking for a fat-melting cardio workout, a weight training session to tone your physique, or a soothing massage to unwind, Celadon Club has me covered. The expert trainers will work with me to create a personalized wellness plan.   They work to ensure each resident achieves the results they aspire.  Plus, with amenities like diet and nutrition planning and personalized workout programs, the Celadon Club gives me a healthier, happier lifestyle.
